Welcome to Scarr Funeral Home in Suffern, NY

Striving to Lead Suffern and Mahwah Funeral Homes

We're all about family; and have been for three generations.
Being part of this community for three generations gives us a unique advantage; you’re not just a family we serve, you’re our neighbor. Knowing you this well means we are able to provide excellent and unique service that fits your needs.

Scarr Funeral Home has been serving Suffern and the surrounding community since 1920. Founded by Anthony J. Scarr in 1920, his son Leonard Scarr ran the funeral home until his death in 2005. Leonard A. Scarr II, the current President, is the third generation and continues the Scarr tradition of treating all families like they were one of their family.
