Samora, Antoinette M.

Antoinette M. Samora, of Suffern, NY, passed away February 4, 2012, peacefully at her home, with her beloved son William, daughter Debra, daughter-in-law Laurie, son-in-law Frank, and sister Carol by her side. She was born July 29, 1928, in Monroe, NY. Antoinette was one of 14 siblings. She retired from Avon Co. in 1985, after 25 years of employment. Antoinette was a resident of Suffern for 58 years. She will be remembered as a kind and caring person who always had a smile on her face. Her favorite pastime was going to Atlantic City and being with her grandchildren, Michael and Stacey. As they grew, they visited her often, always putting a smile on her face. Antoinette loved to hear the story telling of young adults and their adventures.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, William J. Samora Sr. in 2007, who she loved and cherished with all her heart and soul. Antoinette is survived by her children, William (Laurie), Debbie (Frank) Craven; grandchildren, Michael and Stacey; 4 sisters, Josephine Barcia, Anna Vacca, Carol DeLuccia and Rosalie Hawkins; and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Monday, 2-4 and 7-9pm at Scarr Funeral Home, Inc. Rt. 202, Suffern, NY. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, 10am, at Sacred Heart Church, Suffern, NY. Interment Mary Rest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
